I got the Christmas box set so i didnt know what i was gonna get until this very moment.
well at least i can see there are loads of eye chips which is a good sign.
and there is a pink wig! that is awesome. though i have no use of it right now.... or no idea what i am gonna use it for...


Pity there only one pair of shoes. There are three sets of tops tough which isnt that nice :(
but at least they gave me a packet of free gift containing.... thre pair of eyes chips

Thats quite alot of eye chips but how many of them i could really use remain to be a mystery
i better get started on the eye operation on my girl this weekend.
oh there are still the custom foil that i need to prepare!
will get them done asap too.

its not easy to adopt her since there is only 25 dolls available in Singapore.



It all started on the very night of Christmas....

Date: 25 Dec 09 (Night)
Mission: Adoption of an extremely rare Neo Blythe
Code Name: Toys R Us Exclusive Stella Savannah

Me and my agent was there early that night and we met similar agents. Our plan for staying over night was sealed after meeting them.

Since the chance of being booted out by patrol guards is high.
we decided to divert their attention by watching a late night movie.



Pretty nice movie but i wont tok much about it!
Its a must watch! if you are a chinese!!!

After the movie its already 3am and we head back to our checkpoint.
from there we kinda waited and explored Vivo city in its "darkest" hours haha

Pretty romantic for me and my fellow agent since its the first time we spend time
like this overnight in a shopping mall.

We also had a fair share of fun from the couple who had their sister and brother around too. Cracking jokes and talking about anything related to Blythe and the queue haha :)


The queue started to get active at 6 am plus and before long its filled to 25 Max.
The Toys R Us staff was really strict about the whole thing which i was pretty surprised!
They controlled the whole thing like professionals which is really good!
Given that its the first time there is such a Blythe exclusive launch!




Everyone in queue adopted their Stella Savannah eventually and they sure felt they deserve it.
For us its a sleepless night.... Yawn~ still affected by it...

Morrigan X Blythe Custom Part 4 - The EYES

My latest trial on Blythe Customization is on the EYES!
it took me some time to complete this session.

(About 3 weeks of trial and error)
ok i must admit i slacked abit and spent quite alot of time looking for materials for my
next Blythe custom project :p


Soaking the eyes in hot water to remove the lashes!

Following that (2 weeks later)
i spiced up the lids with some design and some Eye Shadow:)




not very clear... iphone Zzzzz



but u should be able to see the star patttern on the eye lid
and the eye shadow drawn by pastel chalk.

and following that the lashes!



i really like this pair of lashes though its a pity it does not have enough volume.
again its not very clear... hai...

i will try to upload with better photos later.... soon....

Next stop will be the eye chips which i am still in the midst of planning and
searching for materials.

Stage of Procrastination

Its late now...

i have been wondering...
It has been two weeks now since i last lay hands on any customization.

Have been running around on weekends to look for materials after materials.
have stacks of them at home now! OMIGOSH!
BUT
No work done...
well cept for a couple of failures experiments...

look at my girl now

what can i say...

too much doubts and too much uncertainty :(
like
what paint should i use to do the makeup such as eyelids and eye shadow?
how to do sleepy eyes - the correct way?
how to carve the lips to my desired look?
how to paint the lips after that?
how to create glow in the dark eye chips?
how to i get that bat motif onto the eye chip?
how do the experts manage to make such ridiculously beautiful eye chips?!

and all these have not include the problems in sewing the outfit!
I DON'T KNOW HOW TO SEW!!!
but
i got loads of cloth bought from chinatown
only to know later
some are not even suitable!

guess this is the learning curve....
no pain no gain....
just got to spend more money to learn it the hard way...

but
but
do i apply the same logic on my Blythe like on the apparels?

will my curiosity kills my blythe?

The weekend is here again,

Spent the whole day shopping for materials for more customization.
Being a total NEWBIE i spent more time procrastinating and wondering what to get...

in any case i decided to do something less taxing for the night hence i decided to
do some slight REBONDING for my girl.

since i need to create a more straighter hair for her to replicate Morrigan's hairstyle.

SO HERE GOES...

Yesterday

i did my first customization on my dear daughter with the help from www.puchicollective.com
in case you still haven know blythe dolls customizations are really popular among blythe collectors!

i started this passion with that intention to customize my own blythe!

so my first project is to make a Morrigan and Lilith look alike.

My daughter aka Peppermint will have to undergo a haircut to get those bangs like morrigan!

so my first progress is to give peppermint a new hairdo!

i took roughly an afternoon to do that... read on to see what happen.
